What You Bring

  • A passion for impactful, community-focused journalism.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive newsroom experience, including newsroom leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coach talent, and deliver results under deadline.
  • Strong grasp of digital platforms, content management systems, and data tools.
  • Mastery of AP Style, grammar, and editorial best practices.
  • Excellent judgment and editorial instincts, with the ability to balance breaking news, enterprise, and audience interests.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work across departments.
  • Skilled in time management, page layout, and multi-platform storytelling.
