They shape the tone, style, and visual elements to ensure the final product aligns with the intended creative vision and brand guidelines. Creative Editors collaborate closely with writers, designers, and other team members to develop engaging, cohesive content. Their role often involves reviewing drafts, suggesting improvements, and ensuring overall quality and originality.

How does a Creative Editor typically collaborate with writers and designers during the content development process?

A Creative Editor works closely with both writers and designers to ensure that content is not only engaging and accurate but also visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines. Collaboration often involves providing constructive feedback, facilitating brainstorming sessions, and bridging the gap between written and visual storytelling. Regular meetings and digital collaboration tools are commonly used to streamline communication and maintain project timelines. This integrated approach helps deliver cohesive and polished final products, making teamwork an essential part of the role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Creative Editor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Editor, you need strong storytelling abilities, a keen eye for detail, and experience with editing processes, often supported by a background in journalism, communications, or English. • Maintain organized archives, backups, metadata, and long-term asset management.
  • Partner with the Marketing team by providing curated, brand-approved photos and video assets.
  • Assist with creative projects, image selection, and content organization.
  • Track production timelines, monitor workloads, and provide project status updates.
  • Ensure every client deliverable reflects the quality and experience Wedgewood Weddings is known for.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the post-production team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience using AI-assisted editing tools such as Imagen is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of color correction, retouching, image enhancement, and photo workflow management.
  • Familiarity with professional video editing workflows, including color grading, audio balancing, media management, and storytelling.
  • Experience designing wedding albums and preparing files for professional print production.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency across large image collections.
  • Strong organizational and digital asset management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both clients and creative partners.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Professionalism, accountability, and discretion when handling client imagery and company assets.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Work on meaningful projects that preserve some of life's most memorable moments.
