QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior training or willingness to take appropriate training
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO
Building Principal 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips as required
  • Encourage students to strive to meet their highest potential
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Attend faculty meetings as required
  • Assume responsibility for his or her continuing professional growth and development through such efforts as reading professional journals and other publications
  • Communicate with staff regarding student supplies, materials, and assignments
  • Seek assistance should emergencies arise
  • Represent the school district in a positive manner
  • Know and follow school district policy and chain of command
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the building principal in conformance with any applicable federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.
