Overview

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for executing commercial plans for current and future RRDC products as directed by the General Manager. The current product portfolio includes: Sylvant, Panhematin and Enjaymo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans for new and existing RRDC products, including any needed market research, sales force assessments, targeting assessments, positioning, messaging and OPEX budget development and management.
  • Develop marketing communication materials to effectively represent the products, services, brands and/or the organization to customers and prospects.
  • Manage product promotional budget.
  • Manage all related vendor relationships to ensure activities and work is on time, budget, and of required scope/quality.
  • Manage the development of all print and digital marketing materials and other tactics for healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers.
  • Manage relationships with specialty pharmacies and the RRD patient support program (PSP).
  • Work with General Manager and Associate Marketing Director to help set sales forecasts and provide ongoing guidance to team via regular commercial meetings and calls.
  • Work with General Manager on reimbursement strategy including HTA assessments, pCPA, PLAs, provincial formulary management and private payer submissions/relations.
  • Help develop and plan convention/congress schedule, manage meeting on-site requirements (i.e. reserve booth space, order promotional materials, coordinate communication between meeting organizer and RRDC) and ensure that disease awareness and commercial meetings are attended by the appropriate personnel to support plan.
  • Help manage key opinion leader (KOL) development to include advisory board(s) as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal and external legal and regulatory guidelines and codes of practice as they relate to RRDC marketing and commercial efforts.
  • Manage key related advocacy constituents and organizations.
  • Act in full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies including adverse events / pharmacovigilance responsibilities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and organization.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least five years of Canadian pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience in product management/ marketing roles. Product launch experience is a strong asset.
  • Previous pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Prior work in rare diseases or in specialty markets preferred.
  • Small-company or start-up experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of PAAB and Innovative Medicines Canada codes.
Knowledge and Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical market, including rare diseases.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and operate across functions (e.g., Legal, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, etc.).ย  ย 
  • Brand management and product launch knowledge.
  • Well-developed forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Patient advocacy skills.
  • Strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English, French is an asset
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional hybrid office environment. Based upon job requirements, the employee may be required at times to attend meetings including travel out of province, country, over weekends and nights. The employee must be able to freely operate and travel by car and train/plane modes of transportation. The employee is required to have a valid driver's license and passport.
