We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth workflow within our clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems and dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry cases.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct oral health assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Review medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination
Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures
Support general dentistry treatments and pediatric dentistry needs as required
Ensure compliance with all dental terminology standards and medical coding practices

Requirements
  • Licensed dental hygienist
Preferences
