Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.

Position: Client Financial Specialist

Department: Operations and Business Department

Shift:โ€ฏIndividual schedules can be determined with supervisor and within business needs/hours. In general, our agency provides services Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm.โ€ฏ

Salary Range:โ€ฏ$22.19 to $29.58 (hourly). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).โ€ฏ

Position Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or financial operations experience; two (2) or more years of directly related experience is preferred. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems is required, with Epic or OCHIN Epic experience strongly preferred. An associateโ€™s degree or relevant coursework in healthcare, finance, or business is preferred. Experience with Medicaid/OHP, Medicare, or behavioral health billing is also preferred. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position may be considered. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is an asset.

Summary: The Client Financial Specialist supports the financial integrity of services delivered at Columbia Community Mental Health (CCMH) by ensuring accurate billing, payer compliance, authorization tracking, and revenue reconciliation within the OCHIN Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role focuses on post-registration processes and supports clinic-assigned Epic billing work queues across all stages of the revenue cycle. The Client Financial Specialist plays a key role in supporting CCMHโ€™s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model by ensuring services are billed correctly, revenue is captured appropriately, and billing processes support equitable access to care while maintaining compliance and strong internal controls.
