This is a Hybrid Remote position. Employees work remotely, with required scheduled IN-office day(s) assigned by direct management.

Growing medical billing office seeking Experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our ever-expanding company. Work as part of a Team handling multiple areas of the revenue-cycle while working predominantly from your home. Insurance follow-up, claim denials and appeals, guarantor follow-up, patient correspondence, customer service, payment posting, and general duties related to medical billing.

Candidates must be able to work in a Team environment, handle multiple tasks, comfortable working with numbers and problem-solving skills. Position requires someone who is reliable and self-motivated. Strong customer service skills required. Ultimately the goal of this role is to streamline the billing process, reduce claim denials, and enhance the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing
  • Familiarity with Insurance portals
  • Understanding of EOBs/remittances to implement contractual adjustments, denials, reviews and balance billing
  • Follow up on unpaid and outstanding claims to ensure timely filing and payment
  • Identify and resolve unpaid or denied claims, correct and resubmit for review
  • Communicate with patients to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Customer service to assist patients, providers and insurance companies with billing inquiries/issues
