To thrive as a Medical Associate, you need a solid understanding of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and administrative processes, usually backed by a relevant degree or certification such as a CMA or RMA. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and basic laboratory equipment is typically required. As a Medical Associate, your daily responsibilities often include assisting physicians with patient assessments, updating medical records, coordinating laboratory tests, and communicating with patients about treatment plans.
