  • Support and advance leadership in comparative medicine by promoting the translation of discoveries from veterinary patients to human health applications.
  • Mentor DVM students, PhD students, DVM-PhD trainees, postdoctoral fellows, and/or clinical house officers, contributing to a robust translational training environment.
  • Participate in graduate and professional teaching in areas such as renal physiology, molecular pathogenesis, systems biology, translational modeling and clinical nephrology/urology.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary center-building initiatives, including collaborative program project and center-level grant development.
  • Serve as an advocate for enhancing the visibility, impact, and national reputation of the College's research, teaching, and clinical service missions.
  • Clinical duty within the Nephrology-Urology service if desired (up to 10 weeks per year).

This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and forward-thinking investigator to advance both human and animal health through excellence in research and teaching. You will get to contribute to the education of veterinary and graduate students, mentor trainees at multiple levels, and help expand the College's national and international reputation in comparative and translational medicine. We seek a dynamic scholar whose work will build upon existing institutional strengths while opening new scientific frontiers within the College of Veterinary Medicine.
