Raleigh Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to support our Primary Care practice. This role provides clinical support to physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff while helping ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations.

The Medical Assistant plays an important role in coordinating patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, providing patient education, and maintaining accurate medical records in a fast-paced outpatient setting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting medical histories, medications, allergies, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and diagnostic testing.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform authorized testing.
  • Document patient information and clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Coordinate prescription refill requests, referrals, prior authorizations, and other patient care needs.
  • Respond to non-emergent patient communications and relay information according to established protocols.
  • Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies.
  • Adhere to applicable safety, confidentiality, and infection prevention standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

•   High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Medical Assistant certification from a nationally recognized certifying organization required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in a medical office setting.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (HER) system.
