      • Hours: 6:30am start time
      • 4/10s or 3/12s Hour Shifts
      • Education:
        • Must have completed an accredited First Assistant Surgical Technologist Program.
        • Must have Completed a CSTFA or CSFA certification.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Acts as a first assistant to surgeons during surgical procedures in the operating room. Performs selected technical duties in an expanded perioperative role under the direction of the surgeon.
Responsibilities
  • Delivers intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon(s) as a collaborative team member.
  • Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
  • Functions as a member of the surgical team and contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative department.
  • Participates in professional development and life-long learning.
