JOB TITLE: Resource Scheduler I
SUPERVISOR: Branch Manager or Office Supervisor
HOURS PER WEEK: 40/Non-Exempt (Monday - Friday) This position is split between our Beaverton (15950 SW Millikan Way) and South (6640 SW Redwood Lane) locations.
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Services
HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days
Looking for a detail orientated person to answer phones and schedule appointments for a busy foot and ankle surgeon.
The following information is designed to outline the essential functions and position requirements of this job. It does not identify all tasks that may be expected, nor address the performance standards that must be maintained.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To schedule all appointments for the department, answer phones, greet patients obtain referrals, handle prior authorizations (medical and pharmacy), schedule from work queue, confirm next day appointments, miscellaneous tasks as needed in the department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
1. Answer incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate person. If the appropriate person is not available, take detailed message.*
2. Schedule and confirm appointments for specialty department(s).*
3. Make sure referrals are in place for all appointments. Use Referral DAR in Electronic Health Record (EHR) to note information.*
4. Make sure prior authorizations are in place for both medical appointments and medications*
5. Assist Medical Assistants as needed.
6. Work under pressure with very busy physician schedules.*
7. Professional communication with physicians, staff, and patients *
8. Assist Medical Assistant's with work queues as appropriate*
9. Help to prepare/contribute to departmental metrics across locations
10. Work as a liaison between locations where specialty resides*
11. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
12. Participate as an active team member in a patient-centered medical home.
13. Employees will not be discourteous or disrespectful to a customer or any member of the public while in the course and scope of company business.*
14. Work in a cooperative manner with management/supervision, coworkers, customers and vendors.*
15. Abide by company policies.*
16. Participate in departmental meetings as scheduled.
17. Maintain regular, in person, work attendance and punctuality, as scheduled.*
