Job description

Position Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting occupational health services through onsite employer events. This position performs a variety of clinical and occupational health services, including obtaining vital signs, conducting respirator fit testing and drug and alcohol testing, and performing blood draws when appropriately ordered. The Medical Assistant helps deliver efficient, high-quality care while ensuring a positive patient experience and maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and clinical excellence.
Location: Must be flexible to cover employer onsites throughout the San Diego area.
Schedule: PRN, as needed for employer onsite events
Compensation: Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities
  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs
  • Perform respirator fit testing in accordance with established protocols
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Perform blood draws when appropriate orders are in place
  • Support onsite occupational health services and client requests as needed
  • Maintain proper documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines at all times
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of recent, hands-on blood draw experience required.
