Job description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Johnson State Prison located in Wrightsville, Georgia.
Pay Range: $17-$22
The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
  • Current Georgia Medical Assistant license/certification
  • Current CPR
  • Phlebotomy Certification Required
  • Corrections experience preferred, not required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Days Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
