To thrive as a Medical Assistant, you need knowledge of basic clinical procedures, medical terminology, and administrative tasks, usually backed by completion of an accredited medical assistant program or certification (such as CMA or RMA). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and basic laboratory equipment is typically required. This collaborative environment helps maintain high standards of patient care and allows Medical Assistants to learn from a multidisciplinary team.
