Academic Hematopathologist - Cleveland Clinic

The Division of Laboratory Medicine at Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Academic Hematopathologist to join our dynamic team of 17 hematopathologists. This position will support the expanding clinical services within the Section of Hematopathology

Position Highlights

  • Provide diagnostic and consultative expertise in bone marrow, laboratory hematology, and lymphoma services.
  • Engage with advanced testing platforms including flow cytometry and molecular hematopathology.
  • Participate in a robust national and international consultative practice through Cleveland Clinic Laboratories.
  • Collaborate within a highly integrated health system serving hospitals across Northeast Ohio.

Qualifications

  • Board certification in AP, CP, or combined AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Board certified or eligible in Hematopathology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of academic experience preferred; recent graduates will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated potential to develop a regional and national reputation in academic hematopathology.

The Hematopathology Section provides expert diagnostic and consultative services for the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS) and is the central laboratory for CCHS hospitals in northeast Ohio. Laboratories in the Section include the automated hematology/coagulation, manual hematology/coagulation, and flow cytometry laboratories. The Section also supports a robust national and international consultative practice through Cleveland Clinic Laboratories. The Section of Hematopathology is a dynamic, collaborative group and there is a rich mix of case materials, providing ample opportunity and support for clinical and translational research as well as teaching of students, residents, fellows, and allied health staff. The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

Pay Range

Minimum salary: $328,500

Maximum salary: $505,500
