About the Job
Children's Medical Center is a fast-paced general pediatric practice proudly serving our community for over 30 years, with four convenient locations. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home team. This role provides clinical and administrative support to providers, patients, and care team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Evening and weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams; obtain and document vital signs
  • Update medical records, including medications, allergies, pharmacy, and visit reason
  • Perform standing orders and assist with clinical procedures (labs, immunizations, screenings, treatments, etc.)
  • Support providers during exams and procedures
  • Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up (including no-shows)
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and preventive health
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in computer systems, phone communication, and documentation
  • Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and respect for diverse populations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the medical field preferred.
