We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our medical group practice located in Sarasota, Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our physicians in the efficient and compassionate delivery of patient care.

Job Duties:

  1. Patient Care:

    • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations.
    • Record patient history, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately.
    • Assist physicians and nurses during medical procedures.
    • Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
    • Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
    • Conduct EKGs and assist with diagnostic tests.
    • Sanitize examination rooms following each patient's visit.
  2. Documentation and Records:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for patients.
    • Complete insurance forms, prior authorizations, and medical billing tasks as required.
    • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  3. Clinical Support:

    • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
    • Restock medical supplies and medications.
    • Handle inventory management and order supplies as needed.

  4. Communication and Patient Education:
