Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.  Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full-time Clinic Medical Assistant for the Franciscan  Gynecologic Oncology Clinic in Silverdale, WA. This an exciting opportunity to work in a team-based environment. Competitive pay and great schedule. Free parking with no weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.

  • Patient Preparation & Support: Greets, prepares, and assists patients during visits, including recording vitals, taking medical history, and providing mobility aid.
  • Clinical Procedures & Lab Work: Performs basic lab tests, phlebotomy, EKGs, administers approved medications, and communicates lab results under provider supervision.
  • Medical Record Documentation: Accurately documents medical visits, procedures, orders, patient history, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals in the electronic medical record.
  • Documentation Review & Compliance: Reviews medical documentation for accuracy and consistency, complying with legal/ethical requirements for patient confidentiality.
  • Clinic Operations & Supply Management: Prepares/cleans instruments, maintains tidy and stocked exam rooms, manages supplies, and schedules various appointments and referrals.
  • Administrative & Communication Support: May handle front office duties like billing/registration, coordinates patient flow for education, and manages phone communications.
