Job description

Medical Assistant

Immediate contract position available for our Orthopedic Surgery physician practice group in Commack, NY.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Work Schedule: 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain the patient's medical history and document in the electronic medical record
  • Medical chart review, assisting providers, rooming patients, taking patient vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy and preparation of exam rooms
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Experience with EKG and Phlebotomy
  • BLS Certification
  • Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • EPIC system experience a plus
