Job description

CJFS Medicaid VISTA
Cuyahoga Job and Family Services (CJFS) connects residents with public benefits and work supports to help individuals and families on their journey to self-sufficiency. CJFS is tasked with determining eligibility and case management of five core benefit programs and workforce initiatives: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federal food assistance program; Ohio Works First (OWF), the county form of the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash assistance program; Medicaid, medical care and insurance for low-income families and the aged/blind/disabled populations; Child care assistance, making it easier for adult caretakers to find and maintain education and a career path; and Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC), which provides aid and services to families due to unexpected emergencies. More than 460,000 residents in Cuyahoga County receive Medicaid benefits. This is an opportunity to explore ways to improve the eligibility services, ensuring medical coverage to those that are eligible.
Member Duties : Assisting with improving current internal Medicaid processes and developing new internal processes to provide better services to the community and improving access to healthcare. Create flow charts of internal processes in collaboration with CJFS leadership to explore efficiencies of current procedures and policies. • Develop operational reports, which will be used to evaluate service delivery and access to healthcare programs. Write and revise internal process policies in collaboration with CJFS management and team members. Preferred experience with Microsoft Office, data analysis (Tableu and Excel) and report development, and development of flow charts (SmartDraw).
