The Position

The Associate Attorney will work primarily on civil litigation matters and will have responsibility for cases at various stages of litigation. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:

* Managing an assigned caseload;

* Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery;

* Taking and defending depositions;

* Appearing for motions and other court proceedings;

* Attending case evaluations, facilitation, mediation, and settlement conferences;

* Working directly with clients, insurance professionals, experts, and opposing counsel;

* Evaluating liability, damages, and litigation strategy;

* Preparing matters for trial; and

* Assisting with and ultimately handling trials as experience develops.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Michigan.
