Position Summary

Orangewood Law Group is seeking an experienced attorney to join our commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate has three or more years of experience in civil litigation, with exposure to business disputes, contract matters, and real estate litigation. This position offers the opportunity to handle substantive litigation work from day one—including managing cases, appearing in court, and working directly with clients—while collaborating closely with partners who remain personally engaged in every matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in commercial and civil litigation matters, including business, contract, and real estate disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents in support of the firm's business and real estate practices.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Negotiate favorable resolutions and settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Advise clients on legal risks, rights, obligations, and strategic options.
  • Assist with appellate matters, including drafting appellate briefs, as needed.
  • Manage an active caseload independently while maintaining high standards of client service and responsiveness.
  • Maintain organized case files, accurate documentation, and timely billing records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
  • Civil litigation experience; commercial litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the firm's core practice areas: business disputes, contract litigation, and real estate matters.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Courtroom, deposition, and mediation experience preferred; appellate experience a plus.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a close-knit legal team.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to ethical legal practice.

Benefits
