Job description

Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner to federal health agencies. We are seeking a Marketing / Media Specialist Sr that leads the planning, design, production, and delivery of integrated marketing and digital media products that support enterprise adoption of the VHA AI Education Hub. The specialist translates complex AI, policy, training, and program information into clear, engaging, accessible communications for VHA leaders, clinicians, operational and administrative staff, trainees, and other stakeholders. The role combines strategic marketing, visual communication, multimedia production, web content development, and user-centered design to build awareness, drive enrollment and completion, promote approved AI practices, and reinforce the Hub as the authoritative source for AI education, guidance, and guardrails.
Reasonable Accommodations Statement
To succeed in this job, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an enterprise outreach and marketing strategy for the AI Education Hub, aligned with launch, adoption, engagement, and sustainment objectives.
  • Create audience-segmented campaign plans, message frameworks, editorial calendars, and channel strategies for clinicians, administrative staff, leaders, trainees, AI use-case owners, and field innovators.
  • Design and produce campaign toolkits, newsletters, leader talking points, presentations, infographics, web graphics, digital signage, email content, job aids, success stories, and other promotional assets.
  • Develop interactive and multimedia products that combine graphic design, animation, audio, video, and web functionality to support outreach and learning.
  • Support production of short video modules, recorded expert sessions, demonstrations, simulations, and other interactive learning assets in coordination with instructional designers, trainers, technical staff, and subject-matter experts.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to ensure media products, Hub interfaces, and campaign experiences are intuitive, consistent, and responsive to user needs.
  • Translate complex AI concepts, approved-use guidance, ethics, privacy, safety, policy, and governance information into plain-language, audience-appropriate content without overstating capabilities or replacing clinical judgment.
  • Establish and maintain visual standards, campaign identity, templates, and content-design conventions, including the visual designation system for VA-approved, external, or restricted content.
  • Ensure digital media, web content, documents, presentations, and audiovisual products meet applicable Section 508 accessibility requirements, including alternative text, color contrast, captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and accessible interaction patterns.
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals with NAII, DHO, CAIO/OIT, VHA leadership, communications offices, education partners, privacy, security, legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with evaluation and analytics staff to monitor reach, engagement, enrollment, completion, satisfaction, and campaign performance; recommend adjustments based on data and user feedback.
  • Identify, develop, and disseminate high-impact use cases and success stories that demonstrate responsible AI adoption and measurable value to the VHA workforce and Veterans.
  • Maintain organized source files, production documentation, content inventories, calendars, and archives in authorized VA environments.
  • Participate in agile sprint planning, status reporting, quality reviews, pilot refinement, enterprise launch activities, and transition-to-sustainment planning.

Primary Deliverables Supported

  • Content designation policy and visual designation system specification.
  • Platform architecture and user-experience design package.
  • Interactive learning asset library, including video, simulation, graphic, and knowledge-check components.
  • Enterprise launch plan and execution report.
  • Communication materials, including campaign toolkit, enterprise newsletters, and leader materials.
  • Live session calendar and content archive.
  • Success story compendium and dissemination plan.
  • Updated communication and media products reflecting pilot findings, analytics, emerging tools, and policy changes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media production, graphic design, digital design, web design, public relations, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, digital media, multimedia production, visual communication, web content, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated outreach or adoption campaigns for large, complex organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency with contemporary graphic-design, presentation, video-editing, audio-editing, animation, prototyping, and web-content tools.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, content-management systems, and interactive media concepts sufficient to collaborate with developers and produce or configure responsive digital content.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert technical or policy-heavy subject matter into clear visual narratives and plain-language content for varied audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent products, review cycles, and deadlines in an agile or fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of federal digital accessibility requirements and experience producing Section 508-conformant documents, web content, presentations, graphics, and multimedia.
  • Strong written, verbal, visual, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and satisfy applicable VA suitability, background-investigation, privacy, information-security, training, and Rules of Behavior requirements.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain a public trust
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, another federal agency, or a large healthcare organization.
  • Experience marketing workforce-development, training, digital-transformation, AI, technology-adoption, or change-management initiatives.
  • Experience creating media for clinical, operational, administrative, and executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint or intranet publishing, learning-management systems, and enterprise email or newsletter platforms.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI communications, including privacy, security, ethics, safety, and approved-use messaging.
  • Experience with usability testing, analytics, A/B testing, audience research, or campaign optimization.
