Job description

AI Onsite Business Analyst/ Project lead
Role Overview
We are looking for an onsite Business Analyst with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Media & Entertainment industry. You will work closely with client stakeholders, Solution Architects, and software engineers to define requirements, bridge communication gaps, and deliver AI-driven media products (such as automated content tagging, recommendation engines, or generative AI workflows)
Key Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering: Translate complex business goals from media stakeholders into clear functional requirements and user stories for AI/ML teams.
  • Onsite Collaboration: Act as the primary onsite point of contact for the client, leading workshops, daily stand-ups, and review sessions.
  • AI/Data Product Lifecycle: Support the end-to-end delivery of AI models, ensuring data quality, model accuracy metrics, and alignment with business KPIs.
  • Process Mapping: Analyze existing media workflows (video editing, content distribution, asset management) and identify areas for AI automation.
  • Backlog Management: Write acceptance criteria, prioritize the product backlog, and manage sprint planning using Agile tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and execute UAT to ensure AI outputs meet business expectations before deployment.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in tech or media sectors.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Media & Entertainment industry (OTT platforms, digital publishing, broadcasting, or digital asset management).
  • AI/Data Acumen: Hands-on experience working on AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Big Data projects. Ability to understand model performance metrics (e.g., precision, recall, accuracy).
  • Core BA Skills: Proficient in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, creating wireframes, and writing detailed functional specification documents.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL for data profiling and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent client-facing communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their AI/ML services.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision or Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications in media.
  • Certification in Agile (CSM) or Business Analysis (IIBA/CBAP)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 75,000 - $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
