Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines is seeking a Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to join its local council! Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines represents 41 counties within North Carolina. Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines, in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA, has a mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.


The Digital Marketing & Content Specialist supports the execution of digital marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including social media, website, email marketing, paid advertising, and membership recruitment campaigns. This role combines content creation with analytics and reporting responsibilities to help drive membership growth, program participation, volunteer engagement, and brand awareness. The position is responsible for monitoring campaign performance, supporting A/B testing efforts, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness. 


The annual salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000, commensurate with experience.


This is a hybrid role, NOT a fully remote position. The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina, specifically within our council's 41-county service footprint.


  • Schedule and publish content across all platforms, write engaging captions aligned with brand voice, monitor community comments/messages, and track performance trends.
  • Develop graphics, flyers, digital ads, and marketing materials using brand templates; format content for multiple platforms and assist with photography/video coordination.
  • Manage editorial calendars, write and publish blog content, and coordinate story collection across departments to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Update landing pages and website content for accuracy, monitor user engagement analytics, and support SEO optimization efforts.
  • Assist with launching and monitoring paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, and YouTube/OTT, while tracking campaign pacing, budget utilization, and cost-per-lead metrics.
  • Run A/B testing on digital ads, email campaigns, and landing pages; analyze cross-channel performance to identify trends and conversion opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the Membership team to track lead generation, monitor recruitment and renewal campaign metrics, and evaluate overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Compile weekly and monthly performance dashboards and reports, providing actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Organize digital asset and photography libraries, support council-wide event promotions, and assist with strategic projects and administrative marketing tasks as needed.



Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related field 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience: internship, volunteer, or professional experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience interpreting marketing data and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing platforms preferred
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for mission-driven work and storytelling
