Job Description
Position Summary
The Director, Global Marketing (Ambulatory) works collaboratively to develop marketing strategies, market relevant key opinion leaders, clinical proof sources, 3rd party strategic partnerships, and competitive analysis; coupled with sales training programs, and marketing communication materials that accelerate category revenue and margin growth through: strategic positioning, product development, launch and ongoing sales efforts for infusion systems and complimentary ICU Medical product technologies. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new areas of market growth, including tracking market penetration and adoption for primarily the CADD ambulatory infusion platform, but also includes other categories of ICU Medical products including the Medfusion platform. Additionally, Product Management responsibilities include support for newly launching products and commercial support of on-market products through the product's life cycle(s) and will work with the global commercial teams to monitor market and competitive trends and recommend new products, product improvements and roadmap enhancements that accelerate category growth and product adoption.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary industry and product expert and function as a knowledge resource for strategic market development, key customer engagement, 3rd party strategic expansion, driving increased long-term category sales
  • Ownership of global net new revenue growth in the ambulatory infusion space.
  • Requires the ability to understand, collaborate with and influence key internal corporate stakeholders, including peer marketing, R&D, & operations/production.
  • Will directly identify and develop KOL's and proof source development.
  • Clearly articulate product inputs into product design, development and release process for infusion systems products and maintain the product development road map, working under the direction of Marketing leadership to develop requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, collecting and analyzing market data, trends, customer attitudes and behaviors as well as the competitive landscape.
    • Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration and communication.
  • Will participate in a supporting role for marketing, sales and clinical support teams through the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos.
  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses, feature sets, underlying technology, product workflow, usability, etc. to establish technical differentiation and feature/benefit statements.
  • Solicit customer, prospect and partner input (via customer calls, user groups, site visits, tradeshows, surveys, win/loss analyses, etc.) to understand global market challenges and requirements and be responsible to feed product definition insights into the product development teams
  • Work on special assignments as they arise

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven track record of developing and supporting highly technical patient-focused technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt and articulate ICU Medical Critical Care value proposition to a variety of decision makers

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; additional consideration for MBA and/or technical undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 7-10 years of product management experience
  • Recommended 3+ years of ambulatory capital infusion product management experience

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel Requirements
  • Typically requires travel a minimum of 40% of the time

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • This is largely a sedentary role
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
