TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Salem, Virginia, 24153!

Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical

Location

Salem, VA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
  • Care for post-operative patients, including monitoring and recovery support
  • Perform dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
  • Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
  • Maintain BLS certification and adhere to all unit clinical standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license valid in Virginia (or Compact license)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Proficiency with Meditech EMR or similar electronic medical record system
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience caring for post-operative patients
  • Competency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
  • Familiarity with Baxter IV pumps and Medfusion pumps
  • Team-oriented, positive attitude with strong patient advocacy skills
