Join Our Team as a Mechanical Service Manager!
Snider Fleet Solutions is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Service Manager to provide the daily direction and distribution of work orders to technicians. In addition, the Mechanical Service Manager provides oversight of work performed and ensures that proper safety procedures and processes are followed. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are vital for this role, as positive teamwork is important for business growth.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience assigning service work orders to technicians
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and the able to learn other software (AS400, SAP, BTN, etc.)
  • Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification (preferred)
  • Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications (strongly preferred)
  • Prior knowledge or ability to learn, implement, and monitor state/federal OSHA regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of both diesel and gasoline powered class 5 through 8 heavy trucks
  • Proficient understanding of VMRS codes and TMC recommended practices
  • Knowledge of OEM and aftermarket parts/suppliers within the mechanical industry
  • Valid Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receives, creates, assigns, and monitors all service work orders to technicians
  • Responsible for the productivity of technicians, with a focus on monthly revenue goals
  • Assist branch and operations manager with maintaining up to date employee administrative files, DOT Med Cards, ASE/TIA certifications, forklift safety, employee evaluations, etc.
  • Provides sales staff support and supervision through service quotes, product look-ups, alleviating any customer disputes or requests, etc.
  • Manage customer scheduled fleet work, scrap tire analysis, and other customer needs
  • Assist with warehouse duties (inventory, load/unload, barcoding, scan billing, etc.)
  • Conducts daily reviews of Warehouse, Service Bays/Trucks, and Equipment in order to ensure safety, compliance, cleanliness, and organization
  • Ensures proper branch opening and closing procedures are being followed
