Position Title: Engineering Lab Technician

Location: Cookstown, NJ 08511
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Position Summary

The Engineering Lab Technician supports product development, testing, and validation activities for aerospace and defense components. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring product performance under demanding environmental and operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and conduct engineering tests (pressure, flow, environmental, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment (test stands, chambers, instrumentation)
  • Record, analyze, and report test data
  • Assist engineers in prototype builds and design validation
  • Support environmental testing aligned with MIL-STD-810
  • Troubleshoot test setups and hardware issues
  • Maintain lab organization, calibration, and safety standards
  • Assist with documentation for qualification and compliance testing
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience (lab, manufacturing, or testing)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and test procedures
  • Experience with data collection and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with environmental or aerospace testing
  • Familiarity with pressure systems, airflow systems, or instrumentation
  • Background in electronics or mechanical systems
Compliance & Work Environment
  • Must be eligible to work in a U.S. defense environment (ITAR-controlled)
