Job/Position Summary

The Industrial Engineering Intern supports all operation at Albuquerque plant by taking times, balance operations, preparing excel charts and capacity analysis from our different process in manufacturing areas.ย  The responsibilities of this position include to identify bottle neck operations, and opportunities to release that bottle neck, analytical person to evaluate data based on time studies, basic knowledge of excel, power point and excel, Auto Cad is a plus.

These activities will require good organization skills and attention to detail.ย  Understand the material flow in our products through the facilities.ย 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Taking times from process manufacturing products
  • Prepare documentation from all manufacturing production areas
  • Archive in well organize all studies and capacity analysis
  • Participate in projects of Continuous improvements
  • Determine capacity and line utilization for workload capacity analysis
  • Summarizing and sharing data with all involved teams on plant
Requirements
  • Enrollment in an accredited engineering program required
  • Completion of four semesters of engineering curriculum required
  • Industrial ย Engineering major is desired
  • Must be US citizen and able to work on US military projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Stand up for long period times
  • Energetic, motivated individual with ability to independently complete tasks assigned by engineering
  • Attention to safety and safe handling of lead containing materials, also in quality and manufacturing areas
  • Ability to learn what doing our operators to recommend our engineers potential improvements.
  • Basic skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicate observations and results to the engineering team
Physical/Working Requirements
  • Extended periods of standing combined with sitting and walking
  • Must be able to go up and down steps
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
