The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging,

mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.

Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.

Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.

Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree in related field with 10 years of experience or BS degree and 12 years of expereince.

5 years of applicable experience or internships

Mechanical design experience

3D CAD and 2D drawing experience

Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems

Must possess active DOD S (DOE L) or higher security clearance.

Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area.

Preferred Qualifications

SolidWorks or Creo CAD and 2D drawing experience

Experience working at a DOE facility

Hands on assembly and test of prototypes

EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience

Static FEA and thermal analysis experience
