Wood has a year-round Civil Engineering Internship opportunity. The hourly, on-call position has a flexible work schedule to accommodate a student working on completing a degree. Work hours will vary depending on availability and project needs, while taking into consideration the class schedule of the student.  We'd love you to join our team of friendly, hard-working dedicated and collaborative professionals. Our ideal candidate is seeking a challenging learning experience and is committed to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation of reports, calculations, databases, quantity take-offs, data analysis, engineering drawings, maps, field observation activities and other related project efforts as required to support public infrastructure studies and design projects.
  • Practice areas are mostly limited to water/wastewater and groundwater work.
  • Field work is anticipated.
Skills / Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate (minimum Senior level) or graduate student (Preferred) in good standing working towards a degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field within an accredited program
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals, surveying, drafting, and general civil engineering design and construction practices
  • Experience with CADD platforms Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation highly desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment
  • Must pass drug test, background check, physical and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
