Mechanical Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH
Provide technical leadership and support for Product/Design Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of these activities to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper technical disposition and justification to customer.
  • Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles.
  • Prepare and review technical reports for customer submittal and approval.
  • Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies.
  • Interface with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of engineering department objectives.
  • Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Entry level to Senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of stress analysis.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Established leadership ability and skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS).
  • Experience with Pro/E Creo CAD software.

Pay: $ 62,000.00 - $ 97,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000.00 and $97,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
