Job Title: Mechanical Drafter - AutoCAD

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Assignment Type: Contact

Pay: $24.04 - $36.06 per hour depending on experience

Work Schedule: 8 - 5 , M - F

About Our Client:

Our client is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to support engineering and design initiatives for plant operations and capital projects. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed technical drawings and 3D models used in the design, modification, and maintenance of power plant facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD or Rhino 3D.
  • Develop plant layouts, equipment drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documents.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and redlines to produce accurate technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support facility upgrades and improvement projects.
  • Maintain drawing revisions and document control standards.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and design requirements.
  • Ensure drawings comply with company and industry drafting standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of drafting or design experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Experience in power generation, utilities, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, structural, piping, or plant layout drawings.
