Role: Project Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: $110K-140K
An established and growing commercial mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from award through closeout.
This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional with a strong background in mechanical contracting who enjoys managing complex projects, building client relationships, and delivering successful outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from turnover through closeout.
- Own project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and overall profitability.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals.
- Manage RFIs, change orders, equipment procurement, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with general contractors, field teams, vendors, and clients.
- Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and financial performance.
- Lead project meetings and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company processes.
- Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, and final documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial mechanical contractor.
- Proven experience managing HVAC, piping, plumbing, or design-build mechanical projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction scheduling, procurement, and contracts.
- Experience managing project financials, forecasting, billings, and change orders.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Work Environment:
This role combines office-based project planning with regular field coordination on active commercial construction sites. Travel to project locations is required.
