Our cutting edge products include band saw blades, meat grinder plates and knives, and cutlery. We also offer a vast range of butcher supplies, seasonings, replacement parts, and repair services to grocers, restaurants, and meat, seafood, deli, and bakery departments.
SUMMARY: Performs all warehouse and shipping activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Performs all shipping, warehouse and inventory control functions at the distribution facility including identification, pulling orders and packing orders, accuracy of processing through the system, timeliness, and conformance to customer requirements.
  • Maintains overall inventory accuracy at the distribution facility and develops and implements corrective actions when required.
  • Assures the accuracy and timeliness of receipt processing and verification from vendors of quality and conformance to all delivery requirements.
  • Assists in salvage of damaged or used material at the distribution facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma/GED and 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • P.C. and Microsoft Word/Excel literate - preferred
  • Experience in working with UPS Shipping system, MRP systems, VISUAL preferred
  • Experience in shipping and warehouse functions
  • Qualified to or able to qualify to operate a forklift and hand truck
  • Able to work quickly and accurately while working safely

The employee must regularly bend, twist and move objects and lift and/or move under 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb steps or ladders.
