Job description

  • Inspect fresh shipments coming into the warehouse for quality, freshness and weights, dates.
    Perform outlined quality control inspections, as needed, on fresh beef and pork to insure adherence to specifications.
    Perform daily date and rotation checks on fresh meat.
    Inspect all merchandise returned by member stores and insure proper disposition.
  • Assist merchandising in maintaining dates and, inventory accuracy, and quality specifications covering all incoming products.
    Help vendors with weekly date checks and disposition of short dated product.
    Assist buyers in maintaining proper rotation and accurate slotting in the warehouse. 
  • Help buyers as liaison between meat merchandising and warehouse.  
  • Organize and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record keeping system. 
  • Keep HACCP records and up to date.
