Job description

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a dependable Calibrator to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The highly skilled Calibrator performs in-house calibration and functional testing of Ludlum and non-Ludlum radiation detection instruments received from around the world. Documents computerized and written work records, certificates, and other required documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.  Prior experience with calibration software is also helpful. Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Calibrates radiation instruments in accordance with written procedures then accurately publishes written calibration certificates.
  • Prepares calibration data reports, calibration certificates, and other required documentation.
  • Maintains orderly and accurate open work order files to assess current status.
  • Adheres to schedule expectations with the goal of minimizing overdue service orders.
  • Meets or exceeds the goals for Sales, On Time Deliveries (OTD), rework, and other critical Service Department metrics.
  • Determines and provides accurate calibration quotations to solicit customer approval. Ensures the work order is properly updated with the results.
  • Remains current on existing and emerging Ludlum calibration procedures.
  • Interfaces with various customer and Ludlum contacts to accomplish assigned objectives.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Overtime, including weekend work, may be required based on order volume to maintain schedule
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Customer interaction will be required so interpersonal skills are a must
  • Self-motivation is necessary for success
