Granex Industries is hiring an Experienced Digital Field Measuring Technician to support granite, quartz, porcelain, and stone countertop projects throughout Solon and Northeast Ohio.

This is a field-based position for someone who already has experience measuring job sites, working in construction or remodeling environments, using digital measuring tools, or supporting countertop, cabinet, millwork, stone, or similar installed products.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional with customers, comfortable working independently in the field, and able to collect accurate measurements that can be used by our CAD, fabrication, and installation teams.

Experience with countertop templating, laser measuring, the LT-2D3D Laser Templator, Prodim Proliner, AutoCAD, or similar digital measuring systems is strongly preferred.


What You'll Do
  • Travel to local residential and commercial job sites
  • Measure countertop areas for granite, quartz, porcelain, and natural stone projects
  • Use digital measuring and laser templating equipment to collect accurate field data
  • Identify job-site conditions that may affect fabrication or installation
  • Record detailed notes, measurements, photos, and job-site information using a tablet
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, contractors, designers, and internal team members
  • Work closely with CAD, production, fabrication, and installation teams
  • Help ensure each job is measured accurately before fabrication begins

Experience Required

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Countertop measuring or templating
  • Stone, quartz, granite, porcelain, or solid surface fabrication
  • Cabinet, millwork, or construction field measuring
  • Remodeling, construction layout, or finish construction
  • Digital laser measuring or templating
  • CAD, drafting, shop drawings, or technical layout work
  • Field service work involving accurate measurements and customer communication

Preferred Experience
  • Experience using LT-2D3D Laser Templator
  • Experience using Prodim Proliner
  • Countertop industry experience
  • AutoCAD or other CAD software experience
  • Ability to read plans, drawings, layouts, or construction documents
  • Knowledge of sinks, cooktops, seams, overhangs, backsplashes, wall conditions, and installation details
