Job Summary
Maysville Community & Technical College is currently seeking a full time, 10-month, term contract position to serve the Maysville Campus for a Registered Nursing Instructor. This is not a remote position and requires in-person presence.
Plans and carries out instruction and instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special study. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice for Nursing. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students' attainment and progress. Maintains order and discipline. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps the program updated. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise. Provides follow-up services to assist in student placement, improved courses of instruction, and promote public relations.
Job Duties:
The instructor will be responsible for classroom lecture, supervising students in the college laboratory and clinical areas associated with the Maysville Campus RN Program. Assists in planning, implementing, evaluating and updating the program. Provide and participate in National Accreditation duties as assigned and for the RN program. Additional duties will include academic advising, committee work, internal and external service and professional development.
This position may require a combination of sedentary office work and active movement throughout campus and off-site locations. Employees may be required to sit, stand, walk, and travel between campuses, clinical sites, and other work locations for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations will be provided in accordance with applicable laws.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Current active, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Kentucky.
Two years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse in the hospital setting within the immediate past five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN or master's in nursing preferred
