Job description

Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiomyopathy Cardiologist

New York. Complex HF. No Transplant Burden.

Position Highlights: 

  • Join a Joint Commissionโ€“certified advanced heart failure program - a primary regional referral destination for cardiomyopathy, refractory shock, and mechanical circulatory support.
  • A true advanced HF practice: complex inpatient and outpatient care spanning cardiomyopathy, LVAD, and MCS.
  • Transplant-adjacent model: manage full transplant evaluations and post-discharge longitudinal care locally, without carrying a transplant call burden.
  • Light inpatient coverage, only approximately 1 week every 6โ€“7 weeks - with exceptional overall quality-of-life built into the schedule by design.
  • Formal collaboration with nationally recognized transplant centers, with optional annual attending rotations for those who want continued transplant exposure.
  • An academic environment that invests in clinical excellence and program development - the culture here is builder, not bureaucrat.

Qualifications:
