Qualified individuals will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to Web & Mobile Scrum team to ensure the successful delivery, and use of best practices to maintain the highest level of quality. 

The Lead Programmer Analyst will lead the delivery team using an Agile/Scrum methodology to develop software solutions for Business Requests. 

Guiding the team on self organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks. 

Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. 

Helps team to focus on current Sprint, achieve sprint goals and value optimization. Provide support to the team whenever possible and leads by example. 

Detects hidden problems and strives to solve them. Work closely with other SCRUM teams and Release Management to ensure smooth delivery. 

Position Description 

The Web & Mobile Application Lead Programmer Analyst position will oversee a team of developers and quality assurance analysts. This team is responsible for enhancing customer facing products that belong to the McKesson Connect suite of business services. The Lead Programmer Analyst will be responsible for oversight of all the team responsibilities and act as an escalation point for the team. 

This position is expected to interface directly with other McKesson IT Scrum teams, Release Management, Project Management and Change Management teams. The position requires in-depth knowledge of distribution business processes, technical systems and available solutions. Qualified candidates must demonstrate their ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Minimum Requirements 

8+ years experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems 

Critical Skills 

The Lead Programmer Analyst is responsible for leading a large software development team in a dynamic environment, promoting best practices and ensuring that the team is practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility. 

3+ years experience with management of teams & budgets related to projects. 

Developing and maintaining team standards, tools and best practices within enterprise complexity environments. 

Assist in release and backlog planning, estimating, execution, implementation and on-going support. 

7+ years experience with Java, J2EE, Javascript, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Unix Shell Scripts; Experience with Application Servers - WebLogic, JBOSS, Tomcat, etc., integration technologies such as IBM MQ, WebSphere Message Broker and Oracle Database is required. 


Additional Knowledge & Skills 

Applicants must have a background in or in depth understanding of pharmaceutical (or comparable) distribution business. 

Experience interfacing with various application teams ranging from Java based applications to packaged applications / ERPs. 

Experience building solutions that integrate with SAP is desired. Qualified Candidate should be able to adapt to changes happening in technologies. 

Should be abreast of technology changes and be comfortable building a robust process to absorb the work performed using newer technologies. 

Develop and maintain effective relationship with cross-functional counterparts 

Ensure teams adhere to defined operational processes including service enhancement design, sizing, build and transition to support 

Support continual process improvement efforts with an eye toward improving customer outcomes 

Support program and service enhancement delivery models and ensure team commitments are realized (on-time, on-budget) 

Validate teams are meeting delivery model commitments including technical design, sizing and release components 

Actively solve resource or technical challenges to ensure enhancement timelines and budgets are achieved 

Escalate issues as required 

Provide technical consulting as required, able to communicate technical solutions to customers, SMEs and architects. 

Good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude. 

Knowledge of SAP/hybris is desired.
