Reports To: Product Line Manager

Location: Baldwin City, KS

ABOUT VICTOR SIERRA AVIATION

Victor Sierra Aviation (VSA) — a TransDigm Group company — is the parent of McFarlane Aviation, McFarlane Alaska, Tempest Aero Group®, AV8, and Aviation Products Systems. We acquire and build businesses that lead in engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of exceptional aerospace products, with 450 employees across Kansas, North Carolina, Alaska, Washington, and Texas.

McFarlane Aviation

Headquartered in Baldwin City, Kansas, McFarlane Aviation has spent more than 50 years engineering, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality FAA-PMA aircraft parts, controls, cables, and aerospace components for general aviation, commercial, military, and experimental aircraft. With over 40,000 parts in stock and a growing footprint in OEM and Military programs, the team is committed to delivering better parts with exceptional, old-fashioned customer service — the McFarlane way.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Product Line Specialist, you'll support existing and new products for both Flight-Resource and McFarlane Resale. Flight-Resource, operating out of McFarlane's Baldwin City facility, is the world's largest MT Propeller distributor and holds STCs to equip MT Propellers on common general aviation aircraft, and you'll be the day-to-day point of contact for its customers — entering and tracking orders, taking payment, releasing orders to ship, and coordinating shipments. On the Resale side, you'll support the onboarding of new products through product research, data entry, and competitive analysis. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams as part of a close-knit team on a continuous growth plan, and this position reports to the Product Line Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Order Support

•     Serve as the primary point of contact for Flight-Resource customers by phone and email

•     Enter, confirm, and track customer orders from quote through delivery

•     Process customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances

•     Release orders to ship and verify accuracy of paperwork before shipment

•     Follow up on quotations with the customers and moving the quote to an order

•     Provide order status updates and proactively communicate lead times or delays

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

•     Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including carrier selection and freight quoting

•     Prepare shipping and export documentation as required

•     Resolve shipping discrepancies, damage claims, and customer returns

Inventory Support

•     Monitor stock levels on propeller and resale items and communicate reorder needs

•     Assist with receiving, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy

Resale Product Onboarding

•     Research new and prospective resale products, including specifications, applications, and aircraft compatibility

•     Complete key onboarding information in McFarlane's system, including part numbers, descriptions, pricing, sourcing, and lead-time data

•     Pass along key product information to the sales and marketing teams to support launch and promotion

•     Conduct competitive research on pricing, availability, and positioning within the General Aviation market

•     Support growth of current resale product lines and identify gaps McFarlane can fill

•     Collaborate with the team to resolve complex problems

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

•     Customer service experience with strong attention to detail and follow-through

•     Comfortable working in an ERP or order entry system; strong computer and data entry skills

•     Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple orders and onboarding projects at once

•     Research-minded and self-motivated, with the ability to gather and organize product information

•     Strong communicator, both written and verbally

Preferred

•     Aviation background or a strong interest in General Aviation

•     Shipping, logistics, or inventory experience

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You're a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional who thrives on keeping orders, shipments, and product data moving without letting anything fall through the cracks. You're quick, innovative, and organized, and you enjoy the variety of supporting customers one moment and researching a new resale product the next. You take pride in being a dependable point of contact for customers and suppliers alike, and you're energized by being part of a close-knit team on a continuous growth plan.

WHY McFARLANE AVIATION?

At McFarlane Aviation, you're part of a team that takes pride in Making It Better. Whether you're assembling parts or sharing ideas, you play a key role in keeping the skies safe. We believe in old-school customer service, doing the right thing, and building better parts through real teamwork and integrity.

We offer:

•     A collaborative, hands-on culture where ideas take flight and your voice matters.

•     Competitive pay and benefits, on-the-job training, and room to grow.

•     A supportive crew of aviation pros who are passionate about what they do.

Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss any reasonable adjustments to your application, in order that we can accommodate and support you in the recruitment process.
