McCune Law Group, APC is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our plaintiff-side litigation team in Redlands, California.

This is an opportunity for a skilled litigation professional who wants more than a routine support role. You will work closely with attorneys and legal professionals to move meaningful personal injury cases forward, prepare matters for mediation and trial, and help clients navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience, understands how to independently manage litigation deadlines and discovery, and takes pride in producing accurate, thoughtful work.

What You’ll Do

As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you will play an important role throughout the litigation lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing personal injury litigation matters from complaint filing through settlement or trial preparation.
• Drafting complaints, answers, motions, notices, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Drafting and responding to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Organizing, reviewing, and summarizing medical records, billing records, employment records, and other case evidence.
• Calendaring and monitoring court deadlines, discovery deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates.
• Filing documents in California state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
• Coordinating depositions, independent medical examinations, expert examinations, mediations, and other case-related proceedings.
• Preparing deposition notices, subpoenas, exhibit binders, witness materials, and attorney preparation files.
• Assisting with expert retention, expert discovery, and the organization of expert reports and supporting materials.
• Supporting mediation, arbitration, and settlement preparation.
• Preparing cases for trial, including exhibits, witness lists, trial binders, motions in limine, jury instructions, and pretrial filings.
• Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients regarding case updates, documentation, deadlines, and next steps.
• Conducting factual and legal research using available research platforms.
• Maintaining organized and complete electronic case files.
• Proactively identifying missing information, approaching deadlines, and issues that may affect case progression.
• Collaborating with attorneys, case managers, legal assistants, and other members of the legal team.
• Providing guidance and support to developing legal professionals when appropriate.

Required Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must have:

• At least three years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience, preferably representing plaintiffs.
• Experience handling cases after a complaint has been filed.
• Hands-on experience drafting and responding to written discovery.
• Knowledge of California civil litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements.
• Experience with deposition, mediation, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
• Strong calendaring, deadline management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, professional work.
• Sound judgment when handling confidential, privileged, and sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Qualification to work as a paralegal under California Business and Professions Code §6450.
• Compliance with applicable California paralegal continuing education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

We would also value:

• Experience with catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, automobile accident, or other complex personal injury matters.
• Experience preparing cases for trial.
• Familiarity with federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
• Experience using Litify, Salesforce, or another legal case-management platform.
• Familiarity with Westlaw or similar legal research tools.
• Experience working with medical experts, treating providers, economists, vocational experts, or other retained professionals.
• Experience mentoring or training junior legal staff.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

Work Schedule and Location

• This position is based in our Redlands, California office.
• The initial onboarding and training period is conducted primarily in person so the selected candidate can become familiar with the team, cases, processes, and technology. Following successful onboarding, the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based on department expectations and business needs.
• Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Redlands, California.

Compensation

• The hourly pay range for this position is:$25.00–$35.00 per hour
• Placement within the range will depend on relevant personal injury litigation experience, demonstrated skills, education, qualifications, and the scope of prior responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires working at a computer, reviewing electronic and physical records, communicating by telephone and video, and remaining seated for extended periods.
