JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver
Location: Newport News, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description
McCarthy Tire Service is looking for a reliable, safety-minded Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily delivery routes safely, efficiently, and professionally-always representing our commitment to excellent customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily routes as assigned by the route manager or dispatcher.
  • Operate company vehicles safely, following all traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Assist in loading and unloading products as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete daily vehicle performance checks.
  • Maintain clean and orderly vehicles, reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Uphold McCarthy Tire Service policies and safety standards.
  • Be comfortable driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Be home daily-no overnight routes.

Additional Duties
  • Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed. We value team players who are adaptable and solution-oriented.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical.
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs regularly.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Flexible availability is a plus.

Work Authorization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
