Automotive Technician - McCarthy Tire Service
Location: Culpeper, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
McCarthy Tire Service is hiring an Automotive Technician to join our Culpeper, VA team. We're looking for a skilled and dependable technician who takes pride in quality work and puts safety and customer service first.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience servicing automobiles and light trucks
  • Valid Virginia State Inspection License required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own tools
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotations, balancing, and tire replacement.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Replace parts and components as needed.
  • Perform Virginia State Safety Inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety requirements.
  • Conduct test drives and verify vehicle performance.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Maintain shop equipment, tools, and inventory.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
