Job description

Requisition ID2026-4501Job Summary

Data Analyst, Specialty Care Programmatic Support

Artemis seeks a Data Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Specialty Care Program Office (SCPO). SCPO provides national leadership, governance, and oversight for specialty care programs, Centers of Excellence, and clinical service lines across VHA, as well as complex, enterprise initiatives. This position focuses on the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of databases, dashboards, and reports that give SCPO leadership information to manage specialty care programs and priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

The Data Analyst contributes to a multidisciplinary team by developing computerized models and queries, extrapolating data patterns using analytical methods, and developing graphs, charts, and visualizations, using tools such as Pyramid Analytics, Tableau, and/or Power BI, to offer inputs to program direction. The Data Analyst ensures contractor-developed databases and dashboards align or integrate with existing VA systems and datasets, including the Federal Electronic Health Record, and builds solutions that automatically acquire and import authorized VA data to minimize manual entry and improve data quality, accuracy, and process efficiency.

The Data Analyst works within VA information systems and databases relevant to SCPO's work and applies system knowledge to ensure dashboards and reports accurately reflect underlying clinical and administrative data. The Data Analyst may also develop administrator and end-user guides describing purpose, functionality, data sources, and data flow of tools, deliver administrator and end-user training, and provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and enhancements.

The Data Analyst coordinates closely within the contract support team and with SCPO team members to ensure data products align with program objectives and periodically presents findings and recommendations to Government managers to support informed, data-driven decision making.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience obtaining data through computerized models, extrapolating data patterns through analytical methods, and developing graphs/charts and visualizations to inform business or program decisions
  • Experience with VA information systems and databases
  • Proficiency with Pyramid Analytics, Tableau, and/or Power BI
  • Ability to present data findings and recommendations clearly to non-technical managers and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and written/verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of data science/analytics experience supporting a federal agency or large health care organization
  • Direct experience with VHA data sources and systems such as the Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW), VistA, VHA Support Service Center (VSSC), RAMP, PTF (MedSAS), MCA, PCMM, NPCD, or VETSNET
  • Experience integrating dashboards or reports with the Federal Electronic Health Record (Oracle Health) or other VA enterprise systems
  • Experience building automated data acquisition/import solutions to reduce manual data entry and improve data integrity
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or similar)
