Job description

Job Summary: 
The Grants Administrator is a dynamic role that serves as the primary source of expertise, oversight, management, and training in aspects relating to regulatory matters of grants and programs, faculty and staff on behalf of the Regional Women’s Services and Pediatrics (RWSP).

 
Job Duties:

  • Serves as the primary liaison between the RWSP and all other departments relating to grants and relevant program activities.
  • Manages, analyzes, and interprets financial data utilizing statistical and data management software.
  • Develops and maintains grants and program budgets and monitors expenses for compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
  • Works jointly with all RWSP leadership within the department to facilitate and support the grants and programs.
  • Advises Departmental Administrators, key contributors and staff on fiscal responsibilities and project timelines.
  • Assists RWSP leadership with pre and post award management of federal, state, and local grants and contracts.
  • Coordinate quality assurance.
  • Lead and manage a team of grants and program coordinators.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • MHA or MBA prepared is preferred

  • Prior experience with HHSC grants programs such as Family Planning Program, Healthy Texas Women, and Breast and Cervical Cancer Services

  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Epic Electronic Medical Record system experience

  • Experience and adept skills in Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

  • Ability to function independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced on-site environment

Minimum Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years related experience in research financial management.

Work Schedule: 
Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Onsite at the RWSP administration office located at the Galveston campus.

Commensurate with experience.
