Job description

Overview

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth and profitability for the Commercial Services Division through the development and execution of a comprehensive market and business development strategy for the International Factoring group. The SVP Business Development Leader serves as a senior sales leader and key market influencer, identifying and capturing new client opportunities while shaping go-to-market approaches for International factoring and lending.

This role will work closely with others across the platform to improve how we source opportunities, manage the pipeline, and bring in new relationships. In addition to the sales responsibilities of the role, it is expected that the person in this role will have deep experience that will bring that leadership perspective to help guide business strategy, product positioning, risk alignment, and operational effectiveness.


Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership - Leads the development and execution of a strategic sales and business development plan aligned with division growth and profitability objectives. Drives disciplined pipeline management, market prioritization, and opportunity conversion strategies. Identifies and captures new factoring and lending relationships through proactive, targeted efforts. Shapes and influences go-to-market approaches, ensuring alignment with evolving client needs and competitive dynamics.
  • Client Service - Ensures a high-quality client experience from initial engagement through onboarding and ongoing relationship development. Collaborates with internal teams to address client needs, resolve issues, and enhance satisfaction. Contributes to long-term client retention through thoughtful relationship stewardship and solution alignment.
  • Relationship Development - Serves as a senior relationship leader, building and leveraging high-value networks, centers of influence, and strategic partnerships. Establishes strong worldwide presence to enhance brand recognition and originate new opportunities. Engages internal partners across business lines to deliver integrated financial solutions and optimize the total client relationship. Builds and maintains a robust referral network that supports consistent pipeline growth.
  • Business Support - Maintains strong knowledge of factoring, lending, and deposit products, ensuring alignment with risk tolerance and regulatory expectations. Identifies and mitigates risks associated with new client opportunities and portfolio relationships. Supports key bank initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and sales effectiveness.

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Factoring or ABL Sales, Business Development OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Factoring or ABL Sales, Business Development
