Job description

Essential Functions:

  • Design and build new Web and Mobile applications
  • Design, Develop and Unit Test REST APIs, Web services, and Micro Services.
  • Designs and develops computer programs that automate specific business processes.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing internal and external websites, and .Net-based applications.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions, architecture design, and work alongside other developers to build new mobile or responsive websites and enhance existing applications to support the growing needs of the business.
  • Manage and provide daily support of our mission critical business applications.
  • Support existing mobile applications (native as well as hybrid) for iOS and Android platforms
  • Work with Sr. Programmer analysts / IT Management to analyze and understand functions to be automated, user needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Work with other internal and external resources to create and establish programs that will benefit SMP.
  • Train end users or technical support staff to use programs.
  • Adhere to corporate IT SOX policies for application development activities.
  • Adhere to corporate software change management policies.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the Microsoft ASP.Net (C#), MVC, Blazor
  • Minimum 2 years of cross-platform mobile development experience using Xamarin, .Net MAUI or React Native.
  • Minimum 2 years of web development experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
  • Strong knowledge of Java Script frameworks such as Angular or Backbone
  • Proficient with SOAP and Restful Web Services (WCF, REST API)
  • Proficient in SQL Server 2012 and above, Transact SQL, stored procedures
  • Desirable Skills include GIT, TFS or Azure DevOps services, IBM DB2 and SharePoint 2019

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge in developing all layers of a web applications using ASP.Net and .Net Core
  • Strong understanding of .Net / .Net Core Framework, Web API / Web Services / Restful Services
  • Strong experience with cross-platform mobile app development
  • Strong SQL Server skills
  • Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform assigned tasks in a professional and timely manner. .
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Work with other IT delivery teams such as business analyst, security analyst and infrastructure to meet project goals
  • SharePoint development experience will be a plus.

Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience.
